Province of Málaga – Andalusia – Spain

1.4. – 6.4.2026 Spain Andalusia Abroad

At the turn of 1–6 April 2026, we spent our spring holiday in sunny Andalusia in the south of Spain, in the province of Málaga. Our base was the elegant Vincci Selección Aleysa hotel, located right on the seafront, offering us an ideal combination of tranquillity, comfort, and sea views.

Throughout the week, we explored the beauty of the surrounding area, alternating relaxation with trips to interesting places. We spent a large part of our time in the coastal town of Benalmádena, where we enjoyed the atmosphere of the local beaches, especially Playa de Santa Ana. In addition to swimming and strolling along the seafront, we also sampled many excellent Mediterranean specialities in local restaurants.
One of the first places we visited was Sea Life Benalmádena, where we were able to observe the underwater world up close. Another memorable experience was a visit to the Buddhist Stupa of Enlightenment, which feels surprisingly peaceful and harmonious amidst the Spanish coastline.
We also visited the unforgettable Butterfly Park of Benalmádena, where we found ourselves literally surrounded by hundreds of exotic butterflies in a tropical environment. Another stop was the unique and architecturally striking Colomares Castle Monument, which resembles a fairytale castle and commemorates the history of the discovery of America.
We also ventured inland, taking a trip to the historic town of Ronda. Here, we were particularly captivated by the monumental Puente Nuevo, dramatically rising above the deep El Tajo gorge. The views of the surrounding landscape were among the most impressive of the entire holiday.
A highlight of our trip was a private yacht cruise from the Puerto Deportivo de Benalmádena marina, during which we admired the Costa del Sol coastline from the sea.
At the end of our stay, we visited the picturesque village of Mijas, where, in addition to the Easter atmosphere, we saw the local donkey taxis, which are typical of the area and give it a unique character.
Our last stop was the Mirador del Oeste Monte Calamorro viewpoint, from which we had a panoramic view of the entire coast of Benalmádena.

The entire holiday was characterised by a combination of relaxation, exploration, and Mediterranean charm. Andalusia impressed us with its diversity – from beaches and historic towns to natural scenery. It was a week full of experiences that we will remember for a long time.
