Once again, the Indian Ocean has been confirmed to be the most beautiful of all oceans in terms of life. And actually it was the most beautiful sea ever. Until now, we thought that nothing could compare to the islands Islas Zapatilla (Cayos Zapatilla) in Panama and the sea around them, but this was simply even better and exceeded our expectations. And colors, respectively the gorgeous shades of blue seen in some Maldives publicity photos are truly as they are depicted. We have not seen such a palette of sea colors anywhere else.

We originally thought that we would probably never go to the Maldives, but not because it was far or not beautiful, but because there would be nothing to do there. Most of the islands (and there are really a lot of them) are about 800 m long and about 200 m wide, and basically you can't get anywhere else during your entire stay. But because we have a small child and because we wanted to see if it really is the paradise on earth that it is advertised everywhere, we couldn't resist and went here. And we didn't regret it at all. Exactly opposite! Despite the above negatives, the more than a week spent here was amazing. The incredible sea, life in it, but also pleasant people, great food and finally several experiences (e.g. a trip to see dolphins) convinced us that we would definitely like to come back here in the future.
