We thought that in Austria there wouldn’t be many better hotels than the ones we’ve stayed at so far (to name just a few, such as Wellnessresidenz Schalber in Serfaus or Dachsteinkönig – Familux Resort in Gosau, etc.), but we were wrong. This hotel was one of the best, if not the absolute best, we’ve ever visited during our many trips to Austria. The great location of the hotel, amazing food, sufficient parking capacity, and last but not least, the number of covered pools make this hotel a paradise on Earth. Although the ratings on Booking might not immediately suggest this (even though many other hotels have higher ratings), it is quite the opposite. If I had to pick one single best accommodation in Austria from our perspective, it would definitely be this one. DAS EDELWEISS – Salzburg Mountain Resort left us with a very positive impression, and we will certainly be happy to use its services again in the future. In fact, the entire Grossarltal Valley is stunning. Ultimately, all Austrian valleys are beautiful – each has something unique and special, but all of them are magical as a whole. And one of those magical valleys is Grossarltal. The valley is located between the High and Low Tauern mountains. In summer, it offers extensive opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and other outdoor activities, while in winter, it's perfect for skiing and other winter sports.
