The destination Gastein is unique in its own way. It is a holiday destination located in the state of Salzburg with many options for everyone. It includes outdoor and indoor pools, many saunas and a range of wellness activities. The water in the spa here contains radon, so it has significant health effects.

Bad Hofgastein is a town located in the district of Sankt Johann im Pongau in Austria. It falls under the Austrian federal state of Salzburg. This is a well-known ski and wellness centre. Together with Bad Gastein and Dorfgastein, it forms the so-called Gastein Valley. Approximately 6,700 inhabitants live here, making it the most populous village in the Gastein Valley.

Bad Gastein is a spa town and a winter sports centre in the aforementioned valley. The village lies at the foot of the Graukogel peak. However, the city has seen an outflow of spa tourists in recent decades, and many hotels in the centre are thus empty. More tourists tend to go to ski resorts. An interesting fact is that on the Gasteiner Ache River running through the city, the Gastein waterfall is located right in the "middle" of the city.
