Neustift im Stubaital, Highline 179 and Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse – Austria

27.5. – 31.5.2016 Austria Abroad

Our "journey" through Austria continues. This time we went in addition to the already known to us of Neustift im Stubai and its surroundings as well as other attractions of this beautiful country.

One of the attractions was the longest pedestrian rope bridge of the world, Highline 179. For more information click here: www.highline179.com

A second attraction was the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. The Grossglockner High Alpine Road (in German Großglockner-Hochalpenstraße) is the highest surfaced mountain pass road in Austria. It connects Bruck in the state of Salzburg with Heiligenblut in Carinthia via Fuscher Törl and Hochtor Pass at 2,504 m (8,215 ft). The road is named after the Grossglockner, Austria's highest mountain. Built as a scenic route, a toll is assessed for passage. For more information click here.
