Castle ruins Oybin (in Czech castle Ojvín or Ojivín, or German transcription Ojbín) is a ruin of a plateau standing on the hill of the same name Zittau Mountains (514 m), located above the spa and excursion village in the district of Görlitz in Upper Lusatia in southeastern Saxony, about two kilometers as the crow flies north of the Czech-German state border. In addition to the castle, there are also the ruins of a Celestine monastery founded in 1369. Except for the castle itself, the building also includes the imperial house on the west side, the ruins of the monastery, the plateau cemetery of Oybin and a cottage with a restaurant. At the highest point of the mountain is the camera obscura. The church on the slope by the road to the castle hides remarkable paintings inside.
