Lisbon – Portugal

20.12. – 23.12.2024 Portugal Abroad

During our Christmas trip to Madeira, we spent a few days in the capital of Portugal, Lisbon. The city pleasantly surprised us; the magical Christmas markets, local attractions, and local food created an enchanting atmosphere that we actually didn't expect from this city. During those few days, we managed to visit or see, for example, the Christmas markets in Eduardo VII Park, Santa Maria Maior Square, the Lisbon Oceanarium, take a tuk-tuk ride through the city, see multi-coloured umbrellas hanging on a pink street, or visit the Belém Tower. Another unusual experience was a ride on the local historic tram, or the yellow symbol of Lisbon. These small, almost century-old trams at first glance seem like they will take you on a peaceful sightseeing ride, but in reality, you will be riding like a roller coaster in creaky machines. And as a result, everything that was mentioned above is actually just a small taste of what Lisbon offers tourists. And that's why we will certainly be happy to return here in the future so that we can expand and enrich this "tasting".
