After an amazing holiday in the Maldives, we spent a few days in Dubai. In the past, it was always just our transfer point to somewhere further, so we wanted to form our own opinion on this megalomaniacal city. Everything here is several times bigger, more luxurious and grander than anywhere else in the world. It is a city of superlatives. For the sake of interest, let's name just a few of them – the tallest building in the world Burj Khalifa, one of the largest shopping centres Dubai Mall, one of the most famous and luxurious hotels in the world Burj Al Arab, etc. However, Dubai did not excite us at all precisely because of the large number of people, shopping centres and crowded beaches. The difference between the Maldives and this city was really extreme. And that's why we will probably continue to "use" it in the future – as we have done several times in the past – only as a transfer station.
