We have been to Špindlerův Mlýn many times, but each time our visits are a little different from the previous ones. This is mainly due to the fact that the surroundings of the city, as well as the city itself, offer a wealth of options for what to do here. Špindlerův Mlýn is a bit of a special city. Although only around a thousand permanent residents live here, in reality (and especially in the winter season) their number increases many times over. The city is one of the most famous and most visited winter sports centres in the Czech Republic. Špindlerův Mlýn has ideal conditions for winter sports. Ski and cross-country trails are in operation for up to 5 months a year. And all this is complemented by a huge number of hotels and guesthouses. The bed capacity is around 10 thousand beds. However, Špindlerův Mlýn also offers many attractions in the summer. The summer months provide ideal conditions for hiking and mountain biking. In Špindlerův Mlýn, among other things, there is also an aquapark, a bobsleigh track and a rope centre. Špindlerův Mlýn has thus become a crossroads of many tourist routes. It is not for nothing that this village has become one of the most visited, but also the most expensive destinations in the Czech Republic.
