Pancíř and Černé jezero – Bohemian Forest

30.5. – 1.6.2025 Czechia Amazing place of Czechia

Pancíř is a Šumava mountain (1214 m above sea level) located in the Pancířský hřbet, which was named after it, although its highest mountain is Můstek (1234 m above sea level). Pancíř is located 5 km northeast of Železná Ruda. At the top is the Pancíř Mountain Chalet from 1923 with a lookout tower. Three rivers originate on Pancíř and the main European watershed passes through it; the Úhlava and Křemelná flow into the North Sea, and the Řezná then into the Black Sea.

Information about the Černé jezero can be found here, as this is not our first visit to this largest natural lake in the Czech Republic.
