Amazing place of Czechia
And I have another tip for an interesting excursion place. In the district of Náchod, not far from the Rozkoš reservoir, lies the interesting and magical Babiččino valley. The valley is located near the castle in Ratibořice and the Úpa river flows through it. Thanks to its unpretentiousness, it is suitable for a family trip with small children or a short evening walk.
The name of the valley is derived from the novel Božena Němcová Babička, whose plot the writer placed here. The writer Otakar Jedlička, working in Smiřice as a doctor, first called this landscape Babiččino valley in 1878. In 1952, the then Ministry of Education, Science and Art declared this valley a landscape and national reserve, and in 1978 it was declared a national cultural monument.
