Beautiful weather, a great crew, three excellent fishermen, and just a great weekend – all that and not only that, it was a long weekend from 20.5. to 22.5. Accompanied by friends, great fishermen, I had the opportunity to see their fishing art with my own eyes and, above all, to capture it with a camera. For three whole days, they were intensively engaged in fly fishing.
Fly fishing is a sport fishing method, a fishing discipline. When fly-fishing, a lure – an artificial fly – is cast into the hunting area using a fly line and a rod. Most fish, both freshwater and marine, can be caught this way. Fly fishing is one of the ethical methods of fishing, as it is not necessary to harm or kill other animals by baiting them to catch fish. Fly fishing uses special fishing equipment, such as a fly rod, fly reel, fly line and lures, which are made from artificial or natural tying materials. Fly fishing lures are collectively called artificial flies, but they often imitate not only the insect itself and its developmental stages, but also other organisms.
