Amazing place of Czechia
The magic of autumn continues. Now that beautiful, colorful autumn has moved from the higher altitudes, where many trees have almost no leaves, to the lowlands, where most of the big cities are located, and their parks and gardens. One of these cities is the city of České Budějovice, whose Stromovka Park is now overflowing with an incredible amount of colors, colors so typical for autumn. When morning frosts, a clear sky and the rising sun are added to this, an incredibly contrasting scenery, very interesting and full of colors is created.
Stromovka (locally also called Dlouhá louka) is the largest park in České Budějovice with an area of 68 ha. It is located about a 5-minute walk from the city center and serves as a recreation area. The park is interwoven with a network of asphalt and unpaved paths, which are popularly used especially by inline skaters. Stromovka was established gradually around the middle of the 20th century, while after a certain period of lack of interest, the quality of care was improved in the 1990s, and the maintained forest park now serves as an important recreation center. Until 1998, a wood sculpture symposium was held annually in Stromovka, some of the results of which still decorate the park. Part of the park is the Bagr pond, which was used as a swimming pool.
