Saturday, July 31, 2010, Horní Planá, the day when this small town by the Lipno dam once again became the scene of an interesting and increasingly popular sports event, the so-called Crosstriathlon of three countries (Czech Republic, Austria, Germany). This event is gaining more and more popularity and prestige among amateur, but mainly professional athletes. Start of the race, or the first part of it (swimming 700 meters across the Lipno dam) started like every year on the beach in Horní Planá. The competitors then continued by bike (44.5 km long) from Horní Planá (Bližší Lhota) to Kollerschlag, where the competitors got off their bikes and where the last section awaited them, which was a 7 km run between Kollerschlag and Wegscheid (the destination is part of the municipal festivities in Wegscheid).
Similar to other sporting events, this event placed great demands on the speed of the camera and the lens used. You can judge whether the camera with the lens was "fast" enough on the attached photos.
