A visit to the Giant Mountains is always worth it. However, a big disadvantage is the large number of visitors, especially during the holidays, and it doesn't matter if they are winter or summer. Outside of these periods, on the other hand, it can happen that a person is alone in many places. And it was the same at the beginning of June this year, when we stayed in Pec pod Sněžkou for a few days. Especially on a Thursday evening, the city was almost deserted. But even over the weekend, we were almost alone in many places around Pec.

We really liked the trail between Jánské Lázně and Pec pod Sněžkou. You can get to Jánské Lázně from Pec by bus, then you can take the cable car to Černá Hora and then you can go back to Pec via marked hiking trails. On the way, one can visit several restaurants (e.g. Černá bouda, Pardubické Boudy, Kolínská bouda, Pražská bouda, Husova bouda, etc.), or visit the charming Černohorské rašeliniště.
