From Třebenice to Kamenný Přívoz

7.4.2013 Czechia Amazing place of Czechia

At the beginning it looked like a long but relatively easy trip leading first around the Vltava and then around the Sázava, but in the end it turned out to be a roughly 30 kilometer journey, during which we ascended over one kilometer and descended the same. It doesn't seem like it, but even in this beautiful landscape with a small maximum altitude above sea level, you can climb such heights by constantly walking up and down. But it was worth it – despite the not-so-ideal weather; the views of the Vltava river valley from the Máj lookout and from the Smetana lookout were really breathtaking.

Our trip started near the Slapy Dam, then continued along the Vltava River to the above-mentioned viewpoints, then to the top of Medník Hill and then along the Sázava River to Kamenný pžívoz. And even around the Sázava we had wonderful views of this river and its surrounding landscape. Visiting these places was really worth it!
