Slavičí údolí

7.4.2012 Czechia Amazing place of Czechia

Here again we have one of those amazing places that are worth visiting. As I already wrote in the previous article, there are so many great places around us that there is always something to choose from. The Slavičí údolí nature reserve is such a place.
This reserve is located on the meadows and adjacent wooded slopes of a side valley opening into the valley of the Radotínské stream in the immediate vicinity of the built-up part of Radotín, i.e. in close proximity to the capital city of Prague. The valley itself is relatively difficult to access, there is no marked path through it. From the main valley of the Radotínské stream, you can make your way to the Slavičí valley next to the trough for rainwater, close to the fence of the gardens or above the development of family houses, and then run down a steep slope. For this reason too, it is a kind of oasis of calm. The meadows in the central part of the valley are especially picturesque, where approximately 50 species of plants are found. The rocky ridge on the southern edge of the valley and the surrounding mixed forests are also significant.
