For a person who has never been to the Bohemian Forest or who was there as a child many years ago, it is difficult to choose a few places that are typical of this amazing part of Bohemia and at the same time to find places that can be seen during the weekend. With friends who have never been to these places, we managed to visit several places over the weekend, which I hope at least partially showed them how beautiful Šumava is. It was the peak Poledník (1315 m) with its not quite usual lookout tower, nearby Prášilské Lake and Lipno nad Vltavou with the nearby Lipno Reservoir. We chose well according to their reactions and we hope that they liked the Bohemian Forest and that they would come back here sometime.
