High Ash Mountains – Dlouhé stráně and Praděd

10.9. – 13.9.2015 Czechia Amazing place of Czechia

After an amazing visit at the ZOO Dvůr Králové, we continued further east – to the Hrubý Jeseník. During these two days we climbed 1700 meters of altitude. The weather, as you can see on the photos, it was not perfect, but we really enjoyed it.

Hrubý Jeseník (German: Altvatergebirge or Hohes Gesenke, Polish: Jesionik Wysoki, English: High Ash Mountains) is a mountain range of Eastern Sudetes in northern Moravia and Czech Silesia. It is the second highest mountain range in the Czech Republic.
Its best known natural sights are Praděd – its highest mountain and powerful pumped storage plant Dlouhé stráně.
