It has been 50 years since the first Mustang model was produced. In honor of this round anniversary, the Mustang Riders Club organized on Saturday 24.5. at Václav Havel Airport, sprint races of these and not only these strong American beauties. The event was attended not only by owners of Mustangs, but also by other brands, e.g. Dodge, Corvette, Camaro, Cobra, Chevy Nova, Chevelle SS, Caprice, but also the Tesla Model S electric car or the "ordinary" Ford Focus ST. Mustang representatives included, for example, Shelby GT500, Roush, Mach 1, Trans Am or Super Snake. But even to me, as an ordinary motoring layman, thanks to these races, it became clear that even the brutal performance that abounds in these beautiful cars does not always lead to a clear victory in sprint races. This was especially evident in the races between the Mustang and the Tesla electric car or between the Mustang and its company "colleague" Focus. The weight of the car, the driven axle and the driver's experience have a big influence on the speed, among other things. Despite the bad weather in the morning and minor problems in the organization, it was an amazing spectacle and also an unrepeatable listening experience.
