Budapest – Hungary – 2013

28.11. – 2.12.2013 Hungary Abroad

Budapest – a very pleasant surprise, that's how our long weekend in this country could be summed up in a few words. If we were to compare Hungary with our republic, for example the highways here are in much better condition than in our country (we judge this based on our experience with the highway between the borders with Slovakia and Budapest), Budapest is a much cleaner city than Prague and, moreover, there are many things cheaper than here. It is possible that someone will have a different experience or opinion, but we basically did not encounter any negative facts during our entire stay. But yes, there are things that could be more modern and better; I mean, for example, the outdated buses, which already have a lot of memory, and I also don't know how their subway – which, by the way, is one of the oldest in the world (right after the London Underground) – is able to handle the morning rush hour (the subway cars are really very small), but if it all works and probably works well, why change it?

This time the photos are divided into two parts; we spent most of one of the days here at the local ZOO, which is one of the oldest in the world. The author of the overwhelming majority of photos taken here and not only here is my girlfriend Míša.
