Šumava … or when everything goes as it should

26.6. – 27.6.2010 Czechia Amazing place of Czechia

Great people, wonderful weather, wonderful atmosphere, beautiful nature. What more does one need to enjoy a fabulous weekend. A wonderful weekend that I spent in the company of several of my friends, friends that I met when I went to Prague and with whom our friendship has lasted until today.
My big advantage was that I planned the weekend to places that I know quite well and that are close to me. And in order to get to know as much as possible of South Bohemia and Šumava in that short time, I have selected localities that belong to the typical and characteristic places of this region. They were and are the Hluboká castle, the castle and castle park in Český Krumlov, the surroundings of the Lipno dam and Šumava in the vicinity of the Vydra river, and the Vydra river as such (Turner's cottage, Čeňkova sawmill, ...).
I would like to point out that our companions were two beautiful female parson-russell terriers who made the whole weekend even more fun. Where we walked 10 km, they ran twice as far. The whole weekend was just great and it's a shame it wasn't longer!
